In the latest round of Shimmering Skies card reveals, we got a batch of cards from a brand new franchise. This set was already introducing cards from Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen 2, both of which had been announced by Ravensburger at the reveal of set 5. But they've now surprised us, courtesy of Culturess, with cards from the 2003 film, Brother Bear.
Card Evaluations
While none of these cards are super competitive, it's always exciting to see a new franchise join the ranks. 005-001 at least has a new mechanic, where you can block opponent's lore reduction. Lore reduction has not been particularly competitive so far, but if, in the future, it gets too powerful, this little bear could be a decent tool for countering it. 005-005 works with Koda, protecting him from challenges, although a normal Bodyguard card might just be better.
005-115 is a lot of stats for his cost, but without Rush or any other ability, he's not going to see competitive play. Lastly, 005-156 is a decent heal card and if the 002-148 deck ever becomes a thing, she could find a home there. All in all, this batch of cards is mostly notable as hope that some of the lesser known Disney films of the early 2000s may eventually make their Lorcana appearance (Meet the Robinsons, when?).
