Here are the latest brews around the exciting dual-ink cards from Set 7: Archazia's Island.
Emerald Sapphire Baja Blast
This Emerald Sapphire list from Inkwell Gaming adds a couple dual-ink cards that show plenty of promise. The 6-cost 007-104-baymax-giant-robot can get on the board as early as turn 3, thanks to its Universal Shift ability that can armor up a 005-157-tipo-growing-son. 007-119-ink-geyser can turn a board advantage to a big lead by resetting inkwells to 3.
The rest of the deck revolves around 004-090-the-muses-proclaimers-of-heroes and songs. 007-178-all-is-found is a nice ramp action that makes use of cards in your discard pile so you can play 006-093-bend-to-my-will sooner. The new 007-179-sapphire-coil item makes challenging easier with all your ramp.
Ruby Steel Hit Them Hard
Challenging characters becomes a stronger and more profitable strategy with the coming of the brand new card 007-137-mushu-majestic-dragon. Not only does this make your challengers tanky, you also get rewarded with lore if they successfully banish. This modified Ruby Steel list by Silent Knight aims to take full advantage of this powerful new glimmer.
Not included in the list below but definitely worth considering is 007-141-mulan-imperial-general, a scary 5-cost with Evasive that can get rid of opposing characters that they thought are safe, 007-188-fa-zhou-war-hero, and 007-133-li-shang-newly-promoted.
Sapphire Steel Crab Rave
This Sapphire Steel brew from Riplungs and LorcanaJustice puts new item-focused cards from Archazia’s Island to the forefront. 007-159-belle-apprentice-inventor can come down on turn 1 with any 1-cost item, while 007-162-tamatoa-happy-as-a-clam provides amazing value bringing those items back.
These two additions seem custom-fitted for the items archetype, joining 002-149-hiram-flaversham-toymaker and 001-159-tamatoa-so-shiny to fully utilize these trinkets.
Amber Steel Bolt
007-004-bolt-superdog is a very interesting build-around card that might become a new way to play Amber Steel. RayInk Lorcana shows how you can set up explosive wins with the superdog, mainly by readying him with 005-023-sven-reindeer-steed. Another new card, 007-021-penny-bolts-person, along with 001-018-rapunzel-gifted-with-healing can keep your characters healthy.
Protecting your board to gain as much lore as possible with Bolt is key, so it has lots of cards that can stall challenges and actions, such as 006-181-john-silver-ships-cook and 005-195-pete-games-referee.
Amber Amethyst Aggro
The new 007-019-pascal-garden-chameleon makes going aggro with Amber Amethyst more enticing, as showcased in this list by Ink Thieves. It’s quite strong as an evasive 3/3 for 4, making it right at home in this strategy.
007-048-honeymaren-northuldra-guide is the other new addition from set 7, essentially doubling your copies of 006-040-the-white-rose-jewel-of-the-garden. Interestingly, the decklist only has characters to ensure you never miss with 002-014-mufasa-betrayed-leader’s trigger.
Emerald Steel Prison
Annoy your opponent further with this discard list by DaveS_Lorcana. Two new additions from Archazia’s Island hinders your foe’s ability to play actions and sing songs: 007-199-gantu-experienced-enforcer and 007-114-pete-space-pirate.
This disruption should make it difficult for archetypes that rely on actions to implement their game plans. Along with the discard and early aggression of this ink combination, this might just be aptly named indeed.
Puppy Power
LoreGainz and Ruunan show off the potential of the new puppies from Archazia’s Island. What’s exciting is that the decks they’re cooking are in two seldom-played ink combinations: Amber Sapphire and Amber Emerald.
In the Amber Sapphire deck, new dual-ink cards 007-023-thunderbolt-wonder-dog and 007-002-perdita-playful-mother protect your Dalmatians (and Stitch) from harm. 007-160-lucky-runt-of-the-litter helps you look for more puppies while 007-167-pepper-quick-thinking-puppy ramps for 007-029-pongo-dear-old-dad. Of course, all these puppies would love 007-043-kanine-krunchies to get strong and healthy.
While the Amber Emerald deck showcased in the video also features 007-028-lady-miss-park-avenue and 007-110-tramp-enterprising-dog, the deck we’re featuring below is a more interesting combo approach. With a bunch of 1- and 2-drops in play, 007-010-tramp-street-smart-dog can draw and discard a lot of characters to pump out a cheap 003-003-chernabog-evildoer.
