Ravensburger has announced that they will be hosting their first-ever "Lorecast", a live stream on Twitch where they promise to show off "a peek at what's coming" to Disney Lorcana. This will be hosted at twitch.tv/DisneyLorcana on March 20, at 10 AM Pacific.
New Set Announcement?
March 20th will be nearly a full month after the initial release of Into the Inklands and less than two months away from the May 17th release of the fourth set. It seems like a good time to give an unveiling of the new set's theme along with a glimpse of a few new cards. The phrase "Something NEW is about to surface!" certainly looks to hint at what that theme may be. Something to do with water or the sea? There certainly are a lot of Disney properties that go well with that theme including The Little Mermaid, Moana, Atlantis and more.
More Details for Disney Lorcana Challenge?
The official tournament series for Lorcana is called the Disney Lorcana Challenge and Ravensburger promised that we would be getting more detailed info on how these events will work coming in March. This live stream could be a good way to unveil some of those key details, such as how to register for the entry tournaments and how to qualify for the regional championship tournaments.
A live stream is a fun way to show off new stuff, so I'm excited for this! I love seeing new cards and I really hope that they plan to reveal a few in this live stream. We'll just have to wait until Wednesday to see what Ravensburger has in store.
