Madam Mim - Fox

Top 10 Most Played Cards in Disney Lorcana

Today we are going to be looking at the top 10 most played cards in Disney Lorcana. These cards are the ones seen most when playing online. That means not only are these 10 cards powerful in their own right, they are key parts of some of the best and most popular decks on ladder. The numbers shown here are from all games on Pixelborn between Jan 5-12. Let's dive right into the list!

Most Played Cards

10. Be Prepared

  • Number in Decks: 260,052
  • Times Played: 49,787

Starting at number 10 is the premiere board wipe in Lorcana, Be Prepared. This card is crucial in all the Amethyst/Ruby Control decks and also appears in Ruby/Sapphire "Pawpsicle" decks as well. No other card is able to reset the board the way Be Prepared can and for that it deserves its spot on the top 10.

9. Minnie Mouse - Stylish Surfer

  • Number in Decks: 268,780
  • Times Played: 60,230

Maybe a bit of a surprise to see Minnie on this list but this cute, unassuming card is actually quite powerful. At only 3 ink for an Evasive with 3 Willpower and 2 Lore, the stats on this card are perfect for presenting a lore generating threat. Her mere presence in the meta has made cards like Cruella de Vil - Fashionable Cruiser and Jafar - Royal Vizier playable, as they are some of the best answers for her. Surf's up!

8. Lady Tremaine - Imperious Queen

  • Number in Decks: 284,932
  • Times Played: 68,253

Lady Tremaine comes in at the number 8 spot. This card is often the best follow-up to a Be Prepared, as your opponent will often only be able to play one major threat after their board has been wiped. And with Lady Tremaine, you easily remove it from the board while developing your own threat. Her ability also gets around Ward, which has caused cards like Kuzco - Temperamental Emperor to completely fall out of the meta.

7. Madam Mim - Snake

  • Number in Decks: 294,813
  • Times Played: 64,726

The first of two Madam Mim cards on this list, Madam Mim - Snake is an over-statted 2-drop that has the "downside" of having to bounce another character back to your hand on play. I put downside in quotes because the bounce is often a benefit more than anything. You can bounce cards like Merlin - Rabbit or Merlin - Goat and trigger their abilities. Or you can bounce a cheap card back to your hand, maybe after it has traded into something or just after it has been outclassed on the board and no longer presents a threat, and then you can use it for ink instead of having to ink a higher value card. The bounce mechanic is very versatile and getting a 3/3 body for only 2 ink on top of it is icing on the cake.

6. Madam Mim - Fox

  • Number in Decks: 300,785
  • Times Played: 61,662

If a 3/3 body for 2 ink is nice, imagine a 4/3 body with Rush for only 3 ink. Insane value! Once again, you have the "drawback" of having to bounce something but this will often be a benefit instead of a hindrance. And those stats are so strong on a Rush character. Madam Mim has effectively driven out a lot of 2/4 characters from the meta like Kuzco - Temperamental Emperor and Mad Hatter - Gracious Host. Even otherwise very powerful characters like Belle - Strange But Special are not played as often these days and that is mostly down to the power of the Fox.

5. Beast - Tragic Hero

  • Number in Decks: 305,990
  • Times Played: 64,200

Beast - Tragic Hero makes the list at number 5 and is, perhaps surprisingly, the only legendary in the top 10. It took the player base a bit of time to recognize the power of this card draw engine, but by now his power level is understood. Drawing one extra card per turn without your opponent being able to stop it unless they have some hard removal is quite good. There is a reason Sad Beast is the most expensive base card in the game right now.

4. Maui - Hero to All

  • Number in Decks: 311,324
  • Times Played: 40,958

Another Rush card makes the list and it is a First Chapter all-star in Maui - Hero to All. Maui has been terrorizing the meta since the game's launch and he shows no signs of falling out of favor. 6 Strength on a Rush character is just so good for taking out nearly any threat your opponent throws down. And with a hefty 5 Willpower, Maui is nearly always a 2-for-1 as he will often survive his first challenge and live to take out something else. And the Reckless is hardly a downside since you are always wanting to use Maui as removal, not as a quester. You're welcome!

3. Friends on the Other Side

  • Number in Decks: 313,509
  • Times Played: 73,607

Now we are onto the top 3 most played cards in the current Disney Lorcana meta. And coming in at number 3 is Friends on the Other Side. A card that has a very simple role, it draws you cards. That's it. But it does it so efficiently, being a reasonable 3 ink and, more importantly, a song. Singing this for free and getting some card advantage is just very strong. Friends will likely remain a meta staple for a long time.

2. Grab Your Sword

  • Number in Decks: 329,768
  • Times Played: 82,534

Another song makes it into the top 3 and it's Grab Your Sword. Area of effect spells are always a strong option in card games. That's because being able to efficiently remove a bunch of characters with one card is very good for tempo and card advantage. And, of course, it's a song so you can do all that for free. And 5-cost is the perfect sweet spot for song cards, because Ariel - Spectacular Singer exists. You can fish for this on turn 3 and sing it as early as turn 4 with Ariel. Those sort of plays just completely blow out any aggressive early game and are why this card is so popular.

1. Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy

  • Number in Decks: 336,609
  • Times Played: 66,042

And the number 1 most played card in Disney Lorcana is... Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy! Just like the previous card, this giant fairy is the bane of all aggressive decks. And the fact that she has shift just makes her even more scary, as you can get her out on turn 4 and then instantly challenge with her to activate her Puny Pirate! ability. Steel is the most popular ink color in the game and with cards like Grab Your Sword and Tinker Bell here, it is easy to see why.
